That conversation stuck with me. Because the truth is, there are no shortcuts in tax; just strategy, structure, and planning. Too many business owners are being sold “quick fixes” instead of real solutions. That’s when it clicked for me: I wanted to build something different. #### **From Passion Project to Purposeful Tax Planning** What started as me trying to fix a missing piece in a client’s business picture has grown into something much bigger and more impactful than I ever imagined. When we launched our tax service, it wasn’t about adding another service line. It was about solving a real problem we saw across so many clients: business owners who didn’t feel connected to their own tax story. So many people told me they *dreaded* meetings with their CPA because they never understood what was happening. They were being talked *at*, not *partnered with.* They were also tired of the surprise tax bills on filing day, wondering how things went off track and why no one caught it sooner. Fast forward to today: we’ve wrapped up our first tax season, and the feedback has been incredible. Clients are walking away with clarity, strategy, confidence, and, for the first time, a real sense of comfort knowing they have a true tax partner. They know what’s coming, what to set aside, and how their tax plan fits into the bigger financial picture. That momentum is fueling us heading into year-end planning. I started my career in tax planning and compliance, working with high-earning businesses and individuals. After 10 years of living on the “tax side,” I made a shift into financial consulting to help small business owners run their operations more efficiently and effectively. But every year, when tax season rolled around, I found myself frustrated all over again. Everything still felt reactive, disconnected, and last-minute.
